Virginia M. “Genny” Lowe
November 13, 1956 – April 11, 2017
Virginia Ann “Genny” Modlin Lowe, 60, of Scranton, died, Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Vidant Greenville.
Born in Beaufort County, November 13, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Burley Roscoe Modlin, Sr. and Mary Joyce O’Neal Modlin who survives.
She was married to William Lee Lowe who survives. She was a member of the Sladesville Baptist Church.
Loved by everyone she came in contact with, especially small children, Genny enjoyed fishing, craft making and life in general.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Family plot in the Lowe Family Cemetery, Rev. Phil Emmert will officiate.
In addition to her mother, surviving are two brothers, Roscoe Modlin, Jr. and wife Lynn of Swan Quarter, Shelly Bland Modlin and wife Angie of Washington; three sisters, Louise M. Smith and husband, Lee of Elizabeth City, Dorothy M. Davis and husband, Chuck of Swan Quarter and Cindy M. Dodge of the Kilkenny Community and several nieces and nephews.
The Family will receive friends at the home of Mrs. Mary Joyce Modlin at Rose Bay, and at the cemetery immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Scranton Volunteer Fire Department, 1595 Puddin Hill Road, Scranton NC 27875.
Arrangements are by Bryan Funeral Service, Swan Quarter.
